The Premier League takes a backseat this weekend as Watford and Wolves clash in a fascinating FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon (16:00BST).
The last time Watford reached the final of an FA Cup was back in 1984 while Wolves haven’t reached the final stage since 1960.
Both sides were in winning action in the Premier League during midweek with the Hornets winning 4-1 against Fulham on Tuesday whilst Wolves defeated Manchester United 2-1 on Wednesday night, just as they did in the FA Cup quarter-finals a fortnight earlier.
Javi Gracia’s Watford have enjoyed a smooth passage up to now and have already knocked out a pair of Premier League sides in their cup run (Newcastle & Crystal Palace). Wolves, meanwhile- were forced into a replay by Shrewsbury in the 4th Round but they had previously knocked out Liverpool and claimed the scalp of Manchester United as mentioned in the quarter-finals. Nuno Espirito’s side seem thrive in the big games.
