Arsenal v Tottenham Preview (26/9/2021)

9/24/2021

This Sunday sees the 204th renewal of the North London Derby between Arsenal & Tottenham.
The 2 sides go into Sunday’s clash in contrasting form with the Gunners buoyed by back-to-back wins in the Premier League while Spurs on the other hand are still licking their wounds following successive 3-0 defeats.

Nuno Espirito Santo was named “Manager of the Month” for August but the newly installed Tottenham boss has endured something of a hangover in September.
Harry Kane was starved of any clear cut chances against Chelsea last Sunday but the England captain was on target in Wednesday's Carabao Cup win over Wolves & the 28-year old is the leading goalscorer in North London Derby history with 11 goals.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is available for selection having served a 3-game ban following a straight red against Man City in Gameweek 3.

The Swiss international has featured in 11 North London derbies against Tottenham during his time at Arsenal and has been cautioned no fewer than 6 times inc. receiving a yellow in each of last season’s fixtures.

Back Granit Xhaka (1st Player Booked) at 15/2 with Bet365.

Tottenham v Chelsea Preview (19/9/2021)

9/16/2021

Sunday 19th September 2021    Premier League    16:30 K.O.     Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season came crashing down last weekend and Nuno’s men face the daunting prospect of coming up against early pacesetters Chelsea at home this Sunday.
The Blues are unbeaten in their opening 4 fixtures this season (W3 D1), scoring 9 times and conceding just once from the penalty spot against Liverpool in gameweek 3.

Tuchel’s men were narrow 1-0 winners in the Champions League during the week whilst Spurs were held to a 2-2 draw by Rennes in the lesser coveted Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Romelu Lukaku’s goal was the difference against Zenit on Tuesday night and the Chelsea no.9 has 3 goals in 3 appearances in the Premier League this season.
Add Romelu Lukaku (First Goalscorer) straight to your betslip at 3/1 with bet365.
You have to go back to 2018 to find the last time Spurs beat Chelsea in a Premier League game when Dele Alli, Son Heung-Min & Harry Kane were all on the score sheet in a 3-1 victory at Wembley.

New boss Nuno Espirito Santo does, however, boast more recent winning form over the Blues having guided his former side Wolves to victory over a then Frank Lampard managed Chelsea side in December of last season.

Eduoard Mendy has recorded 3 shutouts in his 4 Premier League appearances this season & Senegal stopper can continue his run for Golden Glove with another clean sheet this Sunday.
Back Chelsea to win to nil at 7/4 with bet365.

Liverpool v. AC Milan Preview (15/9/2021)

9/14/2021

16-years on from the “Miracle in Istanbul” Liverpool & AC Milan go head-to-head in the Champions League once again.

The Reds pulled off one of the most miraculous comebacks of all time in 2005, however, the Italians did get their revenge in 2007.
Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott was just 2-years old when Jerzy Dudek was denying the likes of Pirlo & Shevchenko from the penalty spot.

The talented teen looks set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a nasty injury at the weekend.

The 2 sides have met twice in friendlies since the 2007 Champions League final with the Merseyside club winning 2-0 on both occasions.
Add Liverpool 2-0 (Correct Score) to your bet-slip at 13/2 with bet365.

Mohamed Salah notched his 100th Premier League goal over the weekend as Jurgen Klopp’s men eased to a 3-0 win over Leeds.

The Egyptian winger has an equally as impressive strike-rate in  Champions League, scoring 28 times in 24 appearances.

Salah was on target 6 times in last season’s competition when the Reds crashed out in the quarter-finals to Real Madrid.
Back Mohamed Salah at 20/1 for Champions League Top Goalscorer with Bet365.

Leeds v Liverpool Preview (12/9/2021)

9/9/2021

This Super Sunday sees Leeds United hosting Liverpool at Elland Road with both sides set to be without key players.
Alisson, Fabinho & Roberto Firmino were all prevented by Liverpool from representing Brazil during the International break whilst winger Raphinha was also barred by the Leeds hierarchy from making what would have been his debut for the Selecao.
Leeds completed the £25million signing of Daniel James from Manchester United on Deadline Day and the Welshman could be the beneficiary of Raphinha’s enforced absence on Sunday.
James was hardly prolific during his 2-year spell in Manchester but the 23-year old has bundles of pace and could cause Andy Robertson problems as the Scot continues to get up to speed following an injury hit start to the campaign.

Robertson played 86mins for the Reds prior to the International break and featured in all 3 World Cup Qualifiers for Scotland to varying degrees of success.

The Tartan Army were well beaten by Denmark last Wednesday before important victories over Moldova and Austria to keep them in the hunt for an automatic spot in Qatar next November.

Craig Pawson will be the man in the middle on Sunday and the Yorkshireman dished out no fewer than 8 cards during his 2 Premier League fixtures so far this season.
Back Andy Robertson to be booked at 6/1 with Bet365.

Hungary v England Betting Preview (02/9/2021)

9/1/2021

England are back in action for the first time since EURO 2020 final heartache as Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions travel to Budapest to face Hungary in their latest World Cup qualifier.
Embed from Getty Images
The Hungarians were one of the surprise packages of EURO 2020 despite failing to make it out of Group F, securing shock draws with both France & Germany.

Marco Rossi’s men currently sit 37th in the FIFA rankings, 33 places below Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions who occupy 4th spot- and the Magyars are unbeaten in World Cup qualifying so far.
The bookmakers are predicting a straightforward success for England with bet365 pricing up the away win at 2/5 while a victory for the hosts is available to back at 15/2 with the draw 10/3.
With Danny Ings, Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins & Dominic Calvert-Lewin all ruled out, Patrick Bamford has earned his first call up to the England squad.

The Leeds striker scored 17-times for the Yorkshire club last season and the 27-year old was off the mark for this campaign when scoring a late equaliser against Burnley last weekend.

Bamford is 8/5 with Bet365 to score anytime.

Liverpool v Chelsea Betting Preview (28-08-2021)

8/27/2021

Liverpool & Chelsea have both made identical, perfect starts to the 2021-22 season with both sides scoring 5-times without reply.

The Reds were 3-0 winners over newly promoted Norwich on the opening weekend before an equally comfortable 2-0 win against Burnley last weekend.
Embed from Getty Images
Chelsea, meanwhile, kick-off their campaign with a 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace before winning 2-0 at the Emirates last Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku marked his return to the Premier League with a debut goal against the Gunners and the Belgian forward has 5 goals in his 17 appearances v. Liverpool during his spells at West Brom, Everton & Manchester United.
Diogo Jota was on target against both Norwich & Burnley and the Portuguese attacker has 1 goal in his 5 appearances against the Blues albeit he has ended up on the losing side on 3 of those 5 occasions.

Back Diogo Jota (First Goalscorer) & Chelsea to win at 55/1 with Bet365

Arsenal v Chelsea Betting Preview (22/8/2021)

8/20/2021

The stand-out tie this weekend comes from the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to bounce back from their disappointing opening weekend at home to a buoyant Chelsea side.
The Blues lifted the European Super Cup and carried that momentum forward when kicking off their 2021-22 Premier League season with a routine 3-0 win against Crystal Palace.

The Gunners did the league double over Chelsea last season, winning 3-1 at home last December before leaving Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 victory in May.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side looked toothless when beaten 2-0 by Brentford on the opening day of the season.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette both missed out last Friday and the pair remain a doubt for Sunday’s game while Martin Odegaard is also ruled out pending a visa after arriving from Real Madrid on Friday morning.
Add Chelsea (FT Result) @ 3/4 to your bet-slip

Club record signing Romelu Lukaku is eligible to make his return for the West London club having re-signed for a reported £97.5million from Inter Milan last week.

Lukaku was sold by Chelsea in 2014 and the Belgian forward notched 30 goals in all competitions last season en route to helping the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title.
The powerful striker will be relishing the opportunity to face an Arsenal back-line that looked shaky to say the least against Brentford on the opening night..
Add Romelu Lukaku (Anytime Goalscorer) @ 11/10 to your bet-slip

2021-22 Premier League Golden Boot

8/11/2021

There were 1,023 goals scored by 270 different goalscorers in the Premier League last season..
Harry Kane's 23 goals topped the scoring charts ahead of Mo Salah who notched 22 times for Liverpool.

Kane, who despite being heavily linked to a move away from North-London, remains a Tottenham Hotspur player and the England captain heads the market for this season's Golden Boot at 10/3 with bet365.

The England captain has scored 163 times since breaking into the Spurs team in 2014/15 with his lowest return being 17 in 2018/19 & he's sure to be there or thereabouts come next May.
Mo Salah is next in the betting at 9/2 with bet365.
The Egyptian has scored 95 goals in 145 appearances since joining the Reds in 2017 and is already a dual winner of the Golden Boot having scooped the prize in 17/18 as well as 18/19.
Bruno Fernandes scored 18 times for Man Utd last season - 9 of them coming from the penalty spot.

The attacking midfielder was used sparingly by Portugal during EURO 2020 but was on target in the Red Devils final pre-season game against Everton.
Raheem Sterling was an ever present for England this Summer, scoring 3 times in 7 appearances as Southgate's side just failed to secure the return of football to it's native home.
The City winger will be hoping to improve on last season's tally of 10 Premier League goals.
Ollie Watkins bagged 25 goals for Brentford in 2019/20 before notching 14 times for Villa in his debut season in the top flight.

Ivan Toney was brought into replace the outgoing Watkins and the 25-year old found the back of the net 31 times for the Bees in the Championship last term.

Back Ivan Toney at 40/1 with bet365 for the Golden Boot.

Leicester v. Man City - 2021 Community Shield (07/08/2021)

8/6/2021

The first piece of silverware is on offer this Saturday evening as FA Cup winners Leicester City take on Premier League champions Manchester City in the 2021 Community Shield.

The Foxes defied the odds to lift the FA Cup back in May when Youri Tielemans wonder-strike proved the difference against Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his side can produce another upset this weekend.
Back Leicester to lift the trophy at 6/4 with bet365.
City completed the record breaking signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa on Thursday evening.

The English midfielder notched 7 times in all competitions for Villa last season and the 25-year old sparkled in a handful of cameo appearances for England at the EUROs during the Summer.

Back Jack Grealish (First Goalscorer) at 17/2 with bet365.
Both teams to score has landed in 4 of the last 5 renewals of the Community Shield with the only exception being Man City 2-0 victory back in 2018 when the recently departed Sergio Aguero scored a brace.
Back both teams to score at 8/13 with bet365.

2021-22 Championship Season Preview

8/3/2021

The 2021-22 Championship season gets underway this Friday as last season’s play-off semi-finalists Bournemouth host recently relegated West Bromwich Albion
It’s relegated trio Fulham, Sheffield United & West Brom who dominate the outright market.
The Cottagers head the betting at 11/2 with bet365.

A sluggish start, just 1-point from their opening 6 games- mixed with too many draws toward the end of the season saw the west London outfit fall out England's top tier last year.
Embed from Getty Images
The Whites have relied on the play-offs in their last 2 campaigns in the Championship and Marco Silva, who has taken over at the helm replacing Scott Parker, will be hoping they can achieve automatic promotion this time around.
Fulham start their season at home to Neil Warnock’s Middlesbrough before trips to Huddersfield & Millwall respectively.
West Bromwich Albion are next in the betting with bet365 with the Baggies available to back at odds of 13/2.

Valerien Ismael led Barnsley to the play-offs last season, winning 25 & drawing 6 of his 44 games in charge of the Tykes- and the Frenchman is the man tasked with leading West Brom’s return to the Premier League.
Embed from Getty Images
Influential midfielder Alex Mowatt has followed Ismael to the Midlands club and it’s hoped he and Karlan Grant can strike up a rapport together. Grant was on target no fewer than 19-times for Huddersfield in 2019/20.

The Baggies forward is 12/1 to be the leading marksman in the Championship for 2021-22.
The 3rd and final of last season’s Premier League drop-outs is Sheffield United. The Blades finished in the top half of the top tier in 2019/20 but plummeted to rock bottom last term, picking up just 23-points from their 38 matches.

Slavisa Jokanovic guided Fulham back to the Premier League in 2018 and the Serbian boss abandoned his post at Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa to manage the Steel City club.
It could be a defining season for 21-year old striker Rhian Brewster.

The England under-21 international signed from Liverpool last October for a reported fee of almost £25 million but failed to find the back of the net in 30 appearances in all competitions last year.

He was on target 11 times for Swansea whilst on loan in 2019-20 and Jokanovic will be optimistic the return to England's second tier could be the key.
Embed from Getty Images
Bournemouth are the last side in single figures to win the Championship with Scott Parker’s side 9/1 with bet365.

Parker has made the switch from London to the South-Coast following relegation with Fulham last season but the outgoings have been more significant than the incomings at the Vitality and the Cherries could struggle to improve on last year’s 6th place finish.
At the other end of the table, Wayne Rooney’s depleted Derby County side are odds-on at 5/6 to go down while newly promoted pair Blackpool & Peterborough are both 3/1 to be relegated back down to League 1.
