Leeds v Liverpool Preview (12/9/2021)

9/9/2021

This Super Sunday sees Leeds United hosting Liverpool at Elland Road with both sides set to be without key players.
Alisson, Fabinho & Roberto Firmino were all prevented by Liverpool from representing Brazil during the International break whilst winger Raphinha was also barred by the Leeds hierarchy from making what would have been his debut for the Selecao.
Leeds completed the £25million signing of Daniel James from Manchester United on Deadline Day and the Welshman could be the beneficiary of Raphinha’s enforced absence on Sunday.
James was hardly prolific during his 2-year spell in Manchester but the 23-year old has bundles of pace and could cause Andy Robertson problems as the Scot continues to get up to speed following an injury hit start to the campaign.

Robertson played 86mins for the Reds prior to the International break and featured in all 3 World Cup Qualifiers for Scotland to varying degrees of success.

The Tartan Army were well beaten by Denmark last Wednesday before important victories over Moldova and Austria to keep them in the hunt for an automatic spot in Qatar next November.

Craig Pawson will be the man in the middle on Sunday and the Yorkshireman dished out no fewer than 8 cards during his 2 Premier League fixtures so far this season.
Back Andy Robertson to be booked at 6/1 with Bet365.

Liverpool & Chelsea have both made identical, perfect starts to the 2021-22 season with both sides scoring 5-times without reply.

The Reds were 3-0 winners over newly promoted Norwich on the opening weekend before an equally comfortable 2-0 win against Burnley last weekend.

Chelsea, meanwhile, kick-off their campaign with a 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace before winning 2-0 at the Emirates last Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku marked his return to the Premier League with a debut goal against the Gunners and the Belgian forward has 5 goals in his 17 appearances v. Liverpool during his spells at West Brom, Everton & Manchester United.
Diogo Jota was on target against both Norwich & Burnley and the Portuguese attacker has 1 goal in his 5 appearances against the Blues albeit he has ended up on the losing side on 3 of those 5 occasions.

Back Diogo Jota (First Goalscorer) & Chelsea to win at 55/1 with Bet365

Arsenal v Chelsea Betting Preview (22/8/2021)

8/20/2021

The stand-out tie this weekend comes from the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal look to bounce back from their disappointing opening weekend at home to a buoyant Chelsea side.
The Blues lifted the European Super Cup and carried that momentum forward when kicking off their 2021-22 Premier League season with a routine 3-0 win against Crystal Palace.

The Gunners did the league double over Chelsea last season, winning 3-1 at home last December before leaving Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 victory in May.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side looked toothless when beaten 2-0 by Brentford on the opening day of the season.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette both missed out last Friday and the pair remain a doubt for Sunday’s game while Martin Odegaard is also ruled out pending a visa after arriving from Real Madrid on Friday morning.
Add Chelsea (FT Result) @ 3/4 to your bet-slip

Club record signing Romelu Lukaku is eligible to make his return for the West London club having re-signed for a reported £97.5million from Inter Milan last week.

Lukaku was sold by Chelsea in 2014 and the Belgian forward notched 30 goals in all competitions last season en route to helping the Nerazzurri to the Serie A title.
The powerful striker will be relishing the opportunity to face an Arsenal back-line that looked shaky to say the least against Brentford on the opening night..

2021-22 Premier League Golden Boot

8/11/2021

There were 1,023 goals scored by 270 different goalscorers in the Premier League last season..
Harry Kane's 23 goals topped the scoring charts ahead of Mo Salah who notched 22 times for Liverpool.

Kane, who despite being heavily linked to a move away from North-London, remains a Tottenham Hotspur player and the England captain heads the market for this season's Golden Boot at 10/3 with bet365.

The England captain has scored 163 times since breaking into the Spurs team in 2014/15 with his lowest return being 17 in 2018/19 & he's sure to be there or thereabouts come next May.
Mo Salah is next in the betting at 9/2 with bet365.
The Egyptian has scored 95 goals in 145 appearances since joining the Reds in 2017 and is already a dual winner of the Golden Boot having scooped the prize in 17/18 as well as 18/19.
Bruno Fernandes scored 18 times for Man Utd last season - 9 of them coming from the penalty spot.

The attacking midfielder was used sparingly by Portugal during EURO 2020 but was on target in the Red Devils final pre-season game against Everton.
Raheem Sterling was an ever present for England this Summer, scoring 3 times in 7 appearances as Southgate's side just failed to secure the return of football to it's native home.
The City winger will be hoping to improve on last season's tally of 10 Premier League goals.
Ollie Watkins bagged 25 goals for Brentford in 2019/20 before notching 14 times for Villa in his debut season in the top flight.

Ivan Toney was brought into replace the outgoing Watkins and the 25-year old found the back of the net 31 times for the Bees in the Championship last term.

Back Ivan Toney at 40/1 with bet365 for the Golden Boot.

Liverpool v Man City Preview (10/11/2019)

11/8/2019

Undoubtedly the game of the weekend this weekend is Liverpool versus Manchester City as the Premier League’s two front-runners go head-to-head in what promises to be a mouthwatering affair.
The Citizens are winless at Anfield in the Premier League since 2003 (P17 D6 L11) when Nicolas Anelka scored a brace in a 2-1 win.
Embed from Getty Images
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds came from behind in dramatic fashion against Aston Villa last weekend to make it 43 games without defeat in the Premier League.

The bookmakers have the home side as marginal favourites at 6/4 while Man City are a fraction bigger at 13/8 and the draw is 13/5.
Sadio Mane has been integral to Liverpool this season (6 goals & 4 assists) and the Senegalese winger is 11/2 to open the scoring on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool have scored and conceded in all 5 of Liverpool’s home games this season and with Guardiola expected to be without first-choice goalkeeper Ederson the safe bet looks to be in the goals markets.

Over 2.5 goals & both teams to score is 5/6 with bet365.

Arsenal v Tottenham Preview (01/09/2019)

It’s the 199th meeting between North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham this Sunday afternoon.
Both sides come into the game on the back of their first Premier League defeats of the 2019/20 season. The Gunners lost out 3-1 to Liverpool last Saturday while Spurs were stunned 1-0 at home to Newcastle on Sunday.

Arsenal are 13/10 favourites with bet365 to claim all 3-points this Sunday while the visitors are 9/5 and the draw is 13/5.

Record £72-million signing Nicolas Pepe caught the eye with his direct running style against Liverpool last week and he was unfortunate not to score.
Pepe to score first and Arsenal to win is 12/1 with bet365.

Liverpool v Tottenham Preview (31/03/2019)

3/29/2019

Liverpool and Tottenham go head-to-head in a mouthwatering fixture at Anfield on Sunday (16:30BST).
Spurs were stunned by Southampton before the International break while Liverpool narrowly avoided an embarrassing draw to struggling Fulham in their most recent Premier League game.

Klopp’s side were 2-1 winners in the reverse fixture against Pochettino’s Tottenham at Wembley in September. Roberto Firmino scored what would prove the decisive goal on that occasion and the Liverpool striker was among the goals for Brazil during the International break.

He is 7/5 with Bet365 to score at anytime on Sunday.
Sadio Mane has been on red-hot form for the Reds, scoring 9 in his last 9 in the Premier League- and he too continued that form when scoring for Senegal on Tuesday.

Sadio Mane to score first and Liverpool to win is 6/1 with Bet365.

Arsenal v Manchester United Preview (10/03/2019)

3/8/2019

The climax to this weekend’s Premier League action comes from the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal host Manchester United in a crunch match in the race for the top-4.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has worked minor miracles since replacing Jose Mourinho as Red Devils boss in December.

The former United striker turned manager orchestrated a memorable Champions League victory against Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday night thanks in no small part to Romelu Lukaku who now has 6 goals in his last 3 appearances in all competitions.

Unai Emery’s Arsenal side meanwhile endured European agony on Thursday when coming unstuck to Rennes in the Europa League despite having led early. Rennes currently 10th in Ligue 1 and a mere 34-points behind the aforementioned PSG.
It’s therefore somewhat of a surprise to see that the home side are currently priced up as favourites at 7/5 with bet365. Manchester United have won their last 6 in-a-row away from home, scoring 15 times in the process and look value to extend that sequence at 2/1 with bet365.
The Gunners have failed to score in just 1 game at the Emirates this season (when losing 2-0 to Man City on the opening weekend) while Manchester United have scored in all 15 of their games away from Old Trafford this season making the both teams to score selection an obvious bet at 4/7 with bet365.

Everton v Liverpool Preview (03/03/2019)

2/28/2019

It’s the 233rd renewal of Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park this Sunday afternoon (16:15GMT).
Liverpool maintained their position at the top of the Premier League in midweek with a 5-0 drubbing over Watford while Everton snapped a 3-game losing streak with an equally comfortable 3-0 victory against Cardiff on Tuesday night.
The Reds have held the upper-hand over their local rivals recently with Everton without a win in this fixture since 2010. The hosts are therefore priced up as the outsiders to win on Sunday at 5/1 with bet365 while Klopp’s table-toppers are odds-on 8/13 favourites to come away with all 3-points.
Embed from Getty Images
A 96th minute winner from Divock Origi was the difference in the reverse fixture at Anfield in December and the bit part Belgian striker could be in line to start with Roberto Firmino still nursing an ankle injury.

Origi is 8/5 to score at anytime with Bet365 and interestingly he is 5/1 to be the last goalscorer once again.

Man City v Chelsea Preview (10/02/2019)

2/8/2019

Manchester City returned to the summit of the Premier League in midweek following a 2-0 win over Everton but Pep Guardiola’s side can ill afford to take things easily as they prepare to face Chelsea at the Etihad this Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri’s side bounced back from their shock 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Huddersfield last weekend with new signing Gonzalo Higuain scoring his first 2 goals for the club since joining on-loan from Juventus in January.
Chelsea inflicted the first league defeat this season on Manchester City when the sides met at Stamford Bridge in December but the Blues are without a win at the Etihad since 2016.

Since their 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace, City have won their last 6 consecutive home matches scoring no fewer than 29 goals in the process and conceding just twice so it’s no surprise to see them red-hot 1/2 favourites with bet365 to secure all 3-points on Sunday.

In terms of value, Sergio Aguero to score first is 11/4 with bet365.
The Argentine striker notched a hat-trick in City’s most recent home game against Arsenal.
