Everton v Liverpool Preview (03/03/2019)

2/28/2019

It’s the 233rd renewal of Merseyside Derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park this Sunday afternoon (16:15GMT).
Liverpool maintained their position at the top of the Premier League in midweek with a 5-0 drubbing over Watford while Everton snapped a 3-game losing streak with an equally comfortable 3-0 victory against Cardiff on Tuesday night.
The Reds have held the upper-hand over their local rivals recently with Everton without a win in this fixture since 2010. The hosts are therefore priced up as the outsiders to win on Sunday at 5/1 with bet365 while Klopp’s table-toppers are odds-on 8/13 favourites to come away with all 3-points.

A 96th minute winner from Divock Origi was the difference in the reverse fixture at Anfield in December and the bit part Belgian striker could be in line to start with Roberto Firmino still nursing an ankle injury.

Origi is 8/5 to score at anytime with Bet365 and interestingly he is 5/1 to be the last goalscorer once again.

The first piece of silverware in England goes on offer this Sunday as Chelsea face Manchester City in the EFL Cup Final at Wembley (16:30GMT).
Chelsea were beaten 6-0 by City a fortnight ago and Sarri’s side have since been put out of FA Cup on Monday by Manchester United, prompting bookmakers to slash the odds on the Italian’s departure from Stamford Bridge before the end of the season.
While Pep Guardiola’s City side snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in midweek with a 3-2 win in the Champions League away to Schalke to extend their winning run to 5 successive wins in all competitions.

The Citizens were victorious in the League Cup 12-months ago with a 3-0 win in the Final over Arsenal and are unsurprisingly strong favourites to defend their crown at 2/7 with Bet365.

Leroy Sane has scored 2 goals in his last 2 games, inc. that stunning free-kick on Wednesday night against his former club and the German winger is 6/1 with Bet365 to open the scoring on Sunday afternoon.

Man City v Chelsea Preview (10/02/2019)

Manchester City returned to the summit of the Premier League in midweek following a 2-0 win over Everton but Pep Guardiola’s side can ill afford to take things easily as they prepare to face Chelsea at the Etihad this Sunday.
Maurizio Sarri’s side bounced back from their shock 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over Huddersfield last weekend with new signing Gonzalo Higuain scoring his first 2 goals for the club since joining on-loan from Juventus in January.
Chelsea inflicted the first league defeat this season on Manchester City when the sides met at Stamford Bridge in December but the Blues are without a win at the Etihad since 2016.

Since their 3-2 home defeat to Crystal Palace, City have won their last 6 consecutive home matches scoring no fewer than 29 goals in the process and conceding just twice so it’s no surprise to see them red-hot 1/2 favourites with bet365 to secure all 3-points on Sunday.

In terms of value, Sergio Aguero to score first is 11/4 with bet365.
The Argentine striker notched a hat-trick in City’s most recent home game against Arsenal.

The Premier League wagon rolls on this weekend following a hectic midweek of fixtures and Manchester City will be desperate to get back on track after a shock defeat away against Newcastle United on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s men were in the lead inside the 1st minute at St James’ Park but 2 second-half goals saw the defending Premier League champions see the gap to current leaders Liverpool extended to 5-points.
Arsenal were also in action on Tuesday night, beating Cardiff City 2-1 at the Emirates with strikers Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette both grabbing a goal apiece. The win was enough to move the Gunners into the all important 4th place (on goals scored) ahead of Chelsea.
Manchester City are currently priced up at 3/10 to get the better of Arsenal on Sunday afternoon with an away win 17/2 and the draw is 11/2 with bet365.

City have a favourable head-to-head record over Arsenal in recent seasons, winning their last 3 in a row in the Premier League against the Gunners.

Raheem Sterling & Bernardo Silva were both on target during City’s 2-0 win in the reverse fixture on the opening weekend of this Premier League season and a repeat 2-0 scoreline is 8/1 with Bet365.
