Premier League Gameweek 27 Preview

2/20/2026

After an F.A Cup recess, the Premier League returns this weekend..
We start off with a trip to Stamford Bridge with Liam Rosenior’s in-form Chelsea hosting Burnley.

The Clarets were stunned by League 1 Mansfield last week & with just 1 win in their last 15 (W1 D5 L9) it’s difficult to see anything other than a home win.

At tea-time on Saturday, West Ham take on Bournemouth.

The Hammers have turned a corner recently with just 1 defeat in 7 (W5 D1 L1) while the visiting Cherries are unbeaten in their last 4 away from home (W2 D2).

5 of West Ham’s last 6 Premier League fixtures saw both teams find the back of the net & that trend ought to continue.

Lastly at 8pm on Saturday, Manchester City continue their title pursuit against Newcastle.

Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in 7 (W6 D1) a run which includes a League Cup semi-final win over the Magpies.

With injury concerns surrounding Erling Haaland, the Cityzens could be reliant on Antoine Semenyo to carry the goal threat.

The Ghanian has netted 3 times in 5 appearances following his January switch from Bournemouth.

Onto Sunday, Nottingham Forest under yet another new manager welcome Liverpool to the City Ground.

Vitor Pereira was in the dug-out for the Tricky Trees’ impressive 3-0 win against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night & will be keen to hit the ground running in the Premier League, too.

6 of the Reds last 7 matches saw 3 or more goals.

The stand-out tie on Sunday sees North London pair Tottenham & Arsenal renew rivalries.

Back-to-back draws have seen the Gunners lead at the top reduced while Spurs parted company with manager Thomas Frank following back-to-back defeats against Man U & Newcastle.

Spurs have trailed at halftime in 7 Premier League games this season & Arteta’s side will be desperate to make a quick start..
